A day before the procedure.
For at least 3 days prior to surgery, wash your hair with an anti-dandruff shampoo to keep your scalp clean. Use a small amount of shampoo to cover the scalp and leave it on for approximately 6 to 7 minutes before rinsing it off.
A few medications are prescribed, which must be taken with dinner the night before the transplantation day is scheduled.
The same medication must be taken in the morning the following day, i.e. the day of surgery.
The day of surgery has arrived.
Breakfast should be consumed at least 1 hour before arriving at the clinic. The medication should be taken with breakfast, unless otherwise instructed. Avoiding coffee the day before and the day of surgery is highly recommended.
We begin surgery at approximately 9:00 a.m. In the morning.
The surgical procedure.
The first step is to clean the scalp with an antiseptic solution to remove any bacteria. To minimise discomfort, local anaesthesia is administered to the donor area. It is necessary to lie in a prone position, such as face downwards and looking at the floor, during extraction. The client must remain completely awake and can move around freely during the multiple breaks between extractions.
After the desired number of grafts have been extracted, we shift the client’s position from a prone or face down position to a face up or supine position, such as looking at the roof and wall in front of them.
To perform the procedure, local anaesthesia is administered to the front recipient area, and slits are created with a specific density and direction.
There will be a brief lunch break. A clinic provides a selection of food for its patients.
Plantation is the final and most important phase.
Once the transplant has been completed, post-transplant instructions are provided, and we make certain that our clients are in the best possible state of health. Because we don’t use sedatives, our clients report feeling fully energised and completely in touch with their neural senses.
If one’s destination is close to Tricity, such as an hour or so drive away, one can drive back to their starting point after transplantation. For long-distance travel, we recommend booking a hotel and departing the following day.
Scenario following a transplant
After a transplant, it is necessary to remain indoors for approximately 2 days. On day three, the bandage is removed and the client is permitted to wear a neat and clean sterilised cap. After approximately 7 to 10 days, the skin recovers completely, with the loss of crusts and dead skin. Normal work can be resumed from day 5 onwards while the situation is being resolved. After the tenth day, physical activity can be resumed.
Follow-ups:
If the client is from India, we recommend that they follow up with us at least once every three months. Our recommendation for a client who is from outside of India is that they take medications for 8 months in addition to their regular medications.
It could take anywhere from seven to ten months to see results. Despite the fact that the first signs of hair growth appear at 4 months.
